VOW (Voice of Women)

VOW (Voices of Women) is a workshopped and devised theatre production that confronts the ongoing crisis of Gender-Based Violence against women and children in South Africa.
Performed by two women from different backgrounds, the production follows Lungiswa and Simamkele as they share stories of abuse, trauma, and survival before and after death. Inspired by real cases, including the murders of Nosicelo Mtebeni and Tshegofatso Pule, the production serves as both a cry for justice and a tribute to women lost to violence. Through storytelling, movement, and emotional testimony, VOW challenges audiences to confront the realities of GBV and reflect on the urgent need for societal change.
