For 10 years, the Trail of Lights has brought families, friends and visitors together to celebrate the magic of the festive season. In 2026, we invite you to join us for our biggest celebration yet as we mark 10 years of Wonder and open the doors to a spectacular new world of light, imagination and festive adventure.

Set within the beautiful Durban Botanic Gardens, the Trail transforms the Gardens after dark into an enchanting wonderland filled with sparkling light displays, illuminated pathways, immersive
experiences, music, entertainment and magical moments around every corner.

This year’s theme, “A Whole New World to Discover,” invites you to leave the ordinary behind and step into a brand new immersive experience designed to surprise, delight and inspire. Wander through breathtaking displays, capture unforgettable photographs, enjoy delicious festive food and drinks, and create special memories with the people who matter most.

Whether you're bringing the kids to experience the wonder, enjoying a festive night out with friends, visiting Durban for the holidays, or continuing a family tradition that has grown over the years, there is something for everyone to discover.

Important Information
Prohibited Items: No firearms, weapons, food, drinks, animals, ammunition, illegal substances, bicycles, balls, glow merchandise, balloons, glass, or gazebos will be permitted into the venue. (Please note: No holding facility will be provided at the venue.)

Children: Children aged 2 years and under enter free. All other attendees require a valid ticket.

Entry: Please enter within your allocated time slot to ensure smooth entry for all guests. You can enter any time AFTER your start time.

Refunds & Weather Policy:
Refunds will only be issued for officially cancelled nights.
The Trail of Lights continues in the event of rain or a passing shower. Please dress for all weather conditions.
