The Cape Town Concert Series second season has a proudly South African foundation bringing chamber music, Baroque and new works to the fore. Our concert on 15 August celebrates the excellence of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra with four principal players who are amongst South Africa's finest wind players. The CPO Wind Quartet features Gabrielle von Durckheim on flute, Lisa White - oboe, Feroll-Jon Davids - clarinet and Simon Ball - bassoon. Their "Breath of Air" will illuminate some of their favourite music by Francaix, Villa-Lobos, Arnold, Rubtsov and Auric.
